A short introduction

​​​Founded in the 1950's Strand Baptist is a congregation of Christ followers (currently around 120 members) situated in the heart of the beautiful Helderberg Basin on the shores of False Bay. While English is our medium, the membership of SBC is a mix of different languages and cultures. As Baptists we believe in the priesthood of all believers. In other words, every member is equally a minister of the Gospel and thus equally responsible for the direction of our worship and ministry. This results in the mutual sharing of our gifts, labour, and lives. We welcome you to join us!​
